About

Protect your
largest investment

Your property. Your business. Restoration Education exists so the people with the damage understand their claim as well as the people paying it.

Why this exists

After a loss, a policyholder faces a process the insurer handles every day: adjusters, estimating software, engineers, and policy language written by the company. Most people go through it once or twice in their lives. That imbalance costs families and businesses money, time, and sometimes the home itself.

Restoration Education closes that gap with plain-English education built on primary sources: the policy language, state claim-handling laws and regulations, court decisions, and the IICRC restoration standards. We support the work of policyholder advocates like United Policyholders and the professionalism the Restoration Industry Association and the IICRC promote.

What we stand for

  • Accuracy over outrage. We cite our sources and describe allegations as allegations. The facts are strong enough.
  • The policyholder first. The person with the damage paid for the promise. We help them hold every party to it.
  • Accountability in every direction. Carriers, adjusters, vendors, and contractors, including our own industry.

What we are not

Restoration Education is not a law firm, a public adjuster, or an insurance company, and nothing on this site is legal advice. We are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the organizations, regulators, or companies we cite.
